URI & IBM: Frontiers in Quantum Computing

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

NOTE: This is a 3-day event that runs from Monday, October 18 - Wednesday, October 20. The 2021 Fall conference in Quantum Computing and Quantum Information Science celebrates the launch of URI's new M.S. degree program in Quantum Computing. Accordingly, a particular focus of the conference will be on education. Students and postdoctoral scientists are encouraged to attend and learn about new advancements and career opportunities in quantum computing and quantum information science, present their own work, and expand their professional network. Do you want to build equity into your startup's ownership structure? Want to bake social benefits into your startup's DNA? Not sure where and how to start? Come join us for an interactive workshop using start.coop's Ownership Model Canvas (OMC), a visual tool for mapping out things like stakeholders/members, benefits & expectations, and governance & financial rights. The OMC was developed as part of start.coop's Lean Coop course: a free, self-paced online training that blends lean startup tools and approaches with cooperative ownership models and values. We'll start with a fun, group game for generating business ideas. Then, we'll use those business ideas to work through and discuss the different elements of the OMC.
