Managing Director
Kristin Urbach is an accomplished executive and strategic leader with more than two decades of experience building organizations, advancing workforce and economic development initiatives, and forging high-impact partnerships across business, government, education, and nonprofit sectors. As Managing Director of the IYRS Maritime Leadership Institute, Kristin leads the development of innovative leadership programs designed to strengthen the next generation of leaders across the maritime and blue economy. She brings a distinctive ability to connect people, organizations, and opportunities to build stronger institutions and drive meaningful growth. Kristin also serves on the Connecticut Port Authority Board, including its Human Resources and Strategy committees. Her career includes senior leadership roles in Washington, D.C., including at the American Enterprise Institute, George Washington University Hospital, and Tunstall Americas, as well as executive leadership of the Connecticut Wind Collaborative and North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce.
